Miscibility and feeding:

O-ISOPROPYL-N-ETHYL THIONOCARBAMATE is not soluble in water ,it must therefore be added undiluted to the flotation pulp. Adding to the grinding circuit is often beneficial.

Solution Strength: Undiluted

In comparison with water-soluble reagents, a longer conditioning time or more intensive conditioning with the flotation pulp is advisable in order to receive full activity from the beginning. Suitable points for adding the product to the pulp are, for example, rod or ball mills, pumps, classifier overflows or fairly large conditioning tanks prior to commencement of flotation.

If a longer conditioning time is not possible, we recommend that Florrea 2000 should be mixed with one of our water-soluble frothers (e. g. Florrea F550,Florrea F500), as a result of which its dispersion in the flotation pulp is accelerated. The frother addition to Florrea 2000 should amount to 5 %.

Florrea 2000 is also miscible with alcohols (e. g. ethanol, isopropanol) which, although they also produce a better dispersion in the pulp, nevertheless impair or even completely prevent froth development. Florrea 2000 is also very soluble in ethyl ether, benzene and petroleum ether etc.Florrea mining collector- O-ISOPROPYL-N-ETHYL THIONOCARBAMATE can also be used as an aqueous emulsion.

Usage:

Florrea mining reagent(ISOPROPYL ETHYL THIONOCARBAMATE) is an excellent collector in flotating non-ferrous metallic sulfides, with less collecting pyrite and higher selectivity, using the collector affording higher quality of concentrate with low amount of arsenic(under presence of arsenic ). It is particularly good at the recovery of copper sulfides and associated precious metals like gold and silver. It also works well with the recovery of tarnished or partially oxidized ores. It will recover iron sulfides, but this can be controlled with the use of high lime. It has been used to recover copper activated sphalerite, but this is not common. Due to its high selectivity, it generally requires the conjoint use of a xanthate to insure maximum recovery of middling(composite)particles. It is a fast collector and produces moderate recovery in many applications. Florrea mining collector- O-ISOPROPYL-N-ETHYL THIONOCARBAMATE is subject to overdosing and should be used in smaller quantities than xanthates. Many operators prefer to use Florrea flotation reagent (O-ISOPROPYL-N-ETHYL THIONOCARBAMATE) as a primary collector and xanthate as a scavenger collector. It is recommended for porphyry copper deposits, copper ores in tropical climates, and copper-gold ores.

Stability:

Florrea mineral processing collector (ISOPROPYL ETHYL THIONOCARBAMATE) is stable in the flotation pulp over a wide pH range, i. e. it can be used both in a strongly alkaline and an acid range.

Storage Stability:

When stored in sealed containers, ISOPROPYL ETHYL THIONOCARBAMATE is stable almost indefinitely. Even very low temperatures do not impair its stability. After the frozen product is heated above the cloud point, which should be carried out slowly and with the container open, it regains its full efficiency.Storage and material compatibility No special measures are necessary when Florrea 2000 is stored in drums. Care should always be taken to ensure that if the product has been spilt or has leaked out it cannot penetrate the soil and contaminate the surface or subsoil water. Tanks and piping made from ordinary iron or steel (for example St 35) are used for storage and transportation. Stainless steel is best suited for this purpose. Piping and fittings made from copper, bronze and brass are not suitable. Among the plastics, polyethylene and polypropylene are not attacked at normal temperatures. Rubber and vinyl polymers should not be used.

On prolonged contact with this mining reagent Florrea 2000 causes irritation of the skin and mucous membranes, Safety goggles and protective gloves should therefore be worn when handling the product. Clothing contaminated with Florrea 2000 thionocarbamate be changed immediately, Areas of skin splashed with the product should be washed with soap and plenty of water.
