Japanese Happi

Meet the Happi; a traditional Japanese coat that is originally worn at Japanese festivals (Matsuri). Nowadays is is gaining popularity worldwide; running clubs, dancing groups wear the Happi. They are also used to stand out at company events or trade shows.

It is a lightweight, baggy sleeved, 100% cotton coat which' history goes all the way back to the Edo period (1603 - 1868). Back then, not just festival participants and staff but also firemen wore the happi.

Custom print

We have the possibility to add your own print on the back, on the front like the picture below. A print can be added for orders from 5 pieces. The price per piece gradually drops with more coats ordered. If you sent your company/orginization logo as .AI (Illustrator) file we can make you an offer.

Fully customized Happi! (100~ pcs)

A fully customized happi is also possible for orders of 100~ pieces. You can have the colors customized, pictures printed, the collar changed, have different sizes made etc. The coats will be manufactured in a specialized Japanese factory in Osaka. Ask for more information. Below an example.

Sizes

There are 2 different sizes; a large one (men/women) and a smaller one (kids/women).

For a fully customized Happi more sizes are possible.

The weight of the F size is about 265 grams.

The in-stock Happi is made in China, and production is closely observed by Japanese quality managers. Custom made happi are manufactured in Japan.
