GAINA is a high performance insulating ceramic, using the COSMODE project or private sector spin-off of cutting-edge insulation technology

that grew out of the JAXA rocket development program. (The first product coming out of the COSMODE project)

< Insulation >

Painting the inner and outer walls of a building with GAINA creates a unique ceramic paint membrane around the entire structure.

This prevents heat generated inside the building from escaping, and saves energy by improving the efficiency of heating and cooling systems.

< Heat shielding >

Painting the roof and outer walls of a building with GAINA blocks the heat from the sun and makes it more difficult for far-infrared radiation to become trapped inside the structure, helping to keep rooms cool and saving energy.

On the photo you can see the block with regular paint's back side is 38.6°C(101.5°F),
the one with GAINA is 33.6°C(92.5°F)

The Sun's infrared rays reflect,bend and move on GAINA's ceramic beads repeatedly,and it reduces the energy entering the house (see the graphic above).
Also the heat prevention materials in the ceramic beads reflect infrared rays.

GAINA's membrane is made of many hard ceramic beads with air inside.

The sound is repeatedly reflected by the ceramic, and absorbed by the air.

Also,because of the effect of layered ceramic within the membrance, it controls vibration, and the sound that entered the membrane became quieter.

<Soundproofing and noise reduction>

The density of ceramic within the paint membrane reduces and reflects sound vibrations.

< Deodorizing >

The unique ceramic contained in GAINA emits far-infrared rays when it is impacted by heat, light or other energy.

It then acts on the moisture in the interior air to create a negative air ionization effect.

This negative ionization results in a superior environment, as well as improved air quality.

In general, dust, dirt, and pollen in the air float around containing positive electric energy.

And they electro-statically adhere on walls and ceilings.

GAINA has electrification characteristic 0.0 it is harder for dust, dirt, and pollen to stick, and ionized moisture combines with dust, dirt, and pollen and prevents them from floating around.

< Moisture-proof >

One of the unique attributes of the GAINA paint membrane is its ability to adapt to changes in the surrounding humidity level.

By reducing the difference between interior and exterior humidity levels, it constrains condensation.

The green lines in the figure represent areas that have been painted with GAINA.

GAINA's coating film adjust to surrounding temperatures, so when painted with GAINA,the surface area's temperature becomes comparable to the room air temperature.

As a result, there is less movement of heat because there is less difference in temperature, and the effect of preventing condensation happens.

«Endurance»

GAINA has many ceramic layers that are the strongest against ultraviolet rays, and is 2 to 3 times more durable than regular paint.

Also, its insulation/thermal barrier effects restrict the building's expansion/constriction.

«Safty»

Water-based GAINA does not use hazardous materials such as organic solvents.

GAINA is certified as an incombustible, the highest rate, by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

«Cool rooms without air-conditioners»

Room temperature was about 4°C(7.2°F) higher than outside, but after application of GAINA, room temperature became lower than outside.

GAINA can be used on a variety of buildings.

It is effective when painted on the roofs and outer walls of both single-family and shared homes, as well as on automobiles.

When applied to the exterior of mobile homes, even on blazing hot days that exceed 30 degrees Celsius, the interior can be made cool enough for a nap by simply opening a window.

This is also a good application for the soundproofing effects of GAINA.

One can weighs 14kg.

Coverage with two coats is about 30 square meters (20% less if a paint gun is used).

«Workability»

GAINA is water-based.

You can use the same brushes, rollers and guns as you would use with normal water-based paints to apply GAINA.

GAINA, the heat-insulating paint is demonstrating unstoppable growth. In addition to being highly recognized in public due to a lot of exposure in mass media, the bottom part of sales infrastructure is growing because more construction companies across the country have now started using the product when it comes to re-painting houses.

Also, what is unique to GAINA is that it is rapidly spreading in the area of interior decoration.
