1. Brief introduction of sorbitol:

Sorbitol 70%is a new kind of sweetener made from high quality purified glucose as material via hydrogenation refining,concentrating .When it was absorbed by human body ,it spreads slowly and then oxidizes to fructose ,

and takes part in fructose metabolization. It doesn't affect blood sugar and uric sugar. Hence, it can be used as

sweetener for diabetics. With high-moisture-tatiblizing, acid-resisitance and non-ferment nature, it can be used as sweetener and monisturizer .

2. Application of sweetener sorbitol:

1. Widely used in the pharmaceutical industry as a raw material for production of Vitamin C.

2. It is used in many food industries as additives, ingredients or beverage, such as sweeter , humectant,

chelating agent, organization improver for food, drinks, sweeties processing and gums production.

3. Applied in industrial production such as textile and chemical industry.

4. For its moisturizing characteristic, it can be instead of glycerol, and used in toothpaste, cigarettes and

cosmetics production. Act as a moisture regulator of toothpaste, cosmetics, tobacco. Also a substitute for

glycerin, moisturizing is more ease and taste better than glycerol. Moreover, it can be used together with

other moisturizers, in order to achieve synergistic effect.
