SARSCAN® is a specialy designed rugged remotely operated boat (R-ROB) for the emergency services to quickly perform a survey at the area of the accident where people or vehicle(s) have ditched.

The R-ROB is equipped with a sonar system linked to a radio transmitter. The sonar images are immediately transmitted to a portable base station onshore. This allows to detect victims, cars, objects, etc. independent of the visibility. Once the victim(s) or vehicle(s) is located divers can be directed to the exact location, thus saving considerable search time. The rescue can be monitored.

The SARSCAN® can be easily stored in a car/truck and is ready for operation when the carry-on box is opened.

Sonarsystem

• The SARSCAN® sonar allows to detect drowning victims, vehicle, sunken boats etc.

• The boat is equipped with instrument stabilisation for stable sonar images.

• Data transfer is possible upto a distance of 1,5 - 2 km depending on the terrain.
