How USB Lighters Work

When turning on the device, the heating coil uses the electric supply from the lithium battery as it communicates with the PCP chip set. The PCP chip set controls the electric resistance and electric current to heat up the coil between 600°C – 800°C, depending on make, model, and technical functionality.
