Putty

Putty is mixed powder used in building coating. It is a decorative building material and is used before the paint coating on the irregular wall surface. Generally, 2 putty coats is applied before the paint coat. The finished putty coat is even and good looking. The interior wall putty is white and the exterior wall putty is white or grey.

Interior Wall Putty

The interior wall putty is specially for the inner wall, such as home, office, garage, basement, etc. It is environmental friendly, non-toxic, odourless and harmless to human body.

We have 3 types interior wall putty: Economical Interior Wall Putty, Top Class Interior Wall Putty and Extremely Hard Interior Wall Putty.

Usage: interior wall coating, apllied on the cement mortar base course before paint coating.

How to Use

1. Mix putty powder and water evenly with electric stirrer.

For best results, do not start applying until 5-10 minutes after mixing and stirring.

2. Apply putty twice. Firstly apply rough putty, and then apply fine putty.

3. Use mortar trowel or spraying tools to apply the putty. Then make it flat with steel trowel.

4. The interval between two times of putty coating should depend on whether surface is dry and hard enough. Generally, it needs not less than 4 hours.

5. The total thickness of two coats should be between 1-1.5mm.

6. Keep maintenance with water for 2-5 days after applying to enhance the hardness of coats.

7. If the wall surface is too dry, moisten it with clean water before apply putty.

Surface Preparation

1. The wall surface should be smooth and compact, without Grease, concrete protecting compound, etc.

2. If the wall surface is not flat, repair it with mortar.

3. Newly constructed surface should be maintained for 14 days before applying putty.

4. Ensure that there is no visible water on the surface before applying putty.

5. Clean up the loose layers of the original surface and ensure the basic surface is strong enough before applying putty.

NOTE

1. Do not expose the surface directly under the sun, and do not apply putty when temperature is too high.

2. Do not add water to dry used putty to re-use.

3. Putty mixed with water should be used within 3 hours.

4. Polish the putty coat 20 hours after the second coat.

5. If too much water is added when stirring, do not pour out surplus water. A suitable amount of dry powder should be added to adjust viscosity.

6. The product can be used when the temperature is between 5-40°c.

Safety and Environmental Information

1. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.

2. Remove splashes from skin using soap and water or a recognized skin cleaner.

3. Do not empty into drains or watercourses.
