FAQ1.Why is the bearing temperature too high?
(1)Lubricating oil doesn’t meet the quality requirements or goes bad,so that the oil viscosity is too high;
(2)Lubricating grease is filled too much;
(3)Bearing preload is too large;
(4)There is cooling problem in Spindle.

2.As for grease filling quantity,the more,the better?

This is a common mistake,excessive grease will cause excessive stirring and much higher temperature.
When high speed precision bearings use grease lubrication,the grease quantity should take up about 15%~20% of bearing interior free space.

3.How to correctly mount bearing to shaft?

(1)Using of hammer and sleeve
This method is widely used to the small and medium size bearings with loose fitting between rings and shaft or housing.But this method will make the load capacity of bearing unstable,and bearing will be given impact force,so it’s not suggested to use this method to mount precision bearing.
(2)Using pressure devices
The pressure devices include press machine,hydraulic gripper,hydraulic clamp and hydraulic nut,etc.The feature of this method is to avoid direct striking bearings and relevant damage.However,adopting this method must make sure the press line coincides with bearing axis to prevent bearing tilting.
(3)Heating inner ring
It’s difficult to use pressure devices to mount the bearing when the magnitude of interference is larger,which does harm to bearing fitting surface.Therefore,it’ll be easier to mount bearing through heating and expanding inner ring.
