Soluble in water, benzene, chloroform, dichloroethane, ethanol, diethyl ether, acetone, dioxane, tetrahydrofuran, pyridine. Slightly soluble in carbon tetrachloride. Insoluble in aliphatic hydrocarbon.

Application:

(1) Widely used in the production of medicine (yellow sulfonamide, fosfomycin sodium, etc.);

(2) Used as drill pipe or tubing corrosion inhibitor in petroleum industry;

(3) Additive to avoid hydrogen attack and embrittlement of steels in iron and steel industry;

(4) Used to produce brightening agent in electroplating industry.
