Submerged arc furnace

Submerged arc furnace means that the furnace's electrodes are buried deep in the furnace mix. A reduction reaction takes place near the tip of the electrodes to facilitate the furnace's process. Submerged arc furnace is mainly used for the production of ferroalloys .Apart from that it also produces calcium carbide and industrial silicon corundum yellow phosphorous. It is fit for recycling residues from the iron and steel industry.

Application of Submerged arc furnace:

Ferrotungsten, high carbon ferromangnese, high carbon ferrosilicon, ferro manganese, mangnese-silicon, silicochromium, ferro chromium, ferro nickle, special alloys, raw materials for the refractory industry,metallurgical plant residue recycling.

Characteristics of Submerged arc furnace:

According to the power supply, it can be divided into three types: AC submerged arc furnace(SAF), DC submerged arc furnace(SAF), low frequency submerged arc furnace(SAF)
