Bulk density of common chitosan is generally 0.2-0.35g/ml,however,high density chitosan can meet 0.6g/ml. Its oil-absorption ability is over two or three times of common chitosan with the same volume.

Usually one high density chitosan capsule can be dissolved in stomach shortly, thus absorb plently of grease, cholesterin as well as the chloridion. It will not be assimilated when passing the intestines for its flocculation under alkali conditions,then be eliminated from the body directly to achieve the purpose of losing weight, reducing blood fat and decreasing blood pressure.High density chitosan is vigorously used in health supplement and pharmaceutical auxiliary chemicals.
